I believe in the 50/50 chemical and organic approach. I was wondering if anyone has used it. I realize some alternatives are available in larger sizes and hence cheaper. To buy a retail brand at retail price vs commercial ag product... for a pumpkin patch it would make sense to buy a cheaper ag product. But 'mgtf' it is widely available. Has anyone used it?

I have used it and grew a 936lber with it. I would say it works to an extent if your'e happy to grow 500 to 1200lb pumpkins but if you want to go to the big time I would say you need to avoid using it and cater for what your tissue tests say.
Just my two cents

I agree with twinney...and too add- depending on extisting soil numbers, you could be doing more damage than harm without even knowing it. Fruit growth slowing, early ripening. Even root stunting, But greenery could look “great”. Have you sent in a soil test for the 15x15 area?....many here know how to read those tests. Id like to see you Freek out over a giant instead of just freek out. Good luck

I agree 100% with the less-can-be-more approach for certain nutrients. I would love to humor you guys with some testing... In a month or so.

Didn’t say less is more...think of it as the further you get away , numbers wise ,from what people growing the big ones have figured out , the slower the growth will be.if you are not amending your soil to those numbers initially, and don’t have much reference to what your numbers are ,or in which direction they will swing?...Its a total crap shoot...unless you’ve seen enough champion caliber plants that you’ve guided along previously that you can just adjust by “winging it”. That’s to get them “big” ...want to compete?...better really get dialed in...good news is, once you’ve tested enough to get a good idea what the soil is doing in your particular patch, you’ll know if the MGTF is appropriate for the particular application requirements.

And for the Domingos?....don’t fill em with lead, you’ll make em turn red....I coin that.
