            | VTJohn | Jericho Vermont | I only grow 1 lg plant a year and have kept up to 2 gourds per plant. This year I decided to keep 3 (not sure why)but they were growing well. Three on a plant doesn't seem to slow growth as I have one over 110" and 2 others over 100".Just wonder what others have done and/or observed.

            | oswegosteve | Oswego,ny | lol my first year trying them .I have 4 plants and 3 gourds.
I did cull a few assuming all things being equal it shouldn't make the ones I kept any smaller.
I've heard more than 1 on a plant is fine also..

            | Andy H | Brooklyn Corner, Nova Scotia | I'm convinced 1 or 2 is the way to go. I had a beautiful 95 Seca plant with several gourds averaging only 75-80 inches. Right now I have one gourd growing on a tired plant, pollinated August 31 and it is 75 inches and still growing. | 9/17/2011 9:12:27 PM |
