            | Marty S. | Mt.Pleasant,Iowa | I have several LG's after they get 80-90 inches start to get soft and black spots on the ends and work there way up the gourd. Is it calcium deficiency or disease? | 8/5/2011 8:22:38 PM |

            | Marty S. | Mt.Pleasant,Iowa | Not really Bob, Its growing like a weed and new sets are taking off. I still have 3 at 85-90 inches that are fine.I do see a little yellow inside the thick vine growth. Thanks | 8/6/2011 1:12:27 PM |
            | duff | Topsfield, Ma. | What seed Marty? Saw thta condition on a plant last season and wondering if there's a genetic link? | 8/6/2011 7:28:23 PM |
            | Marty S. | Mt.Pleasant,Iowa | 123 Jutras, Thought maybe the heat index also played a part in this. | 8/6/2011 7:47:15 PM |

Since the plant is healthy I would guess the
fruit is lacking something, maybe calcium as you said earlier.

            | duff | Topsfield, Ma. | The gourd I was thinking of came from the 127 Jutras...guess no genetic link? Good luck! | 8/7/2011 2:53:45 PM |
