               I am a grower in Georgia and I have lost the 2008 season to Anthracnose and phythropha.
  I had the Georgia AG dept work on my problem. Here in the mild weather area Anthrocnase can over winter in the dead plant material. This was a surpise to me as I thought the disease was exclusively the result of using the same planting area year after year. Bob Attaway Georgia

               Sorry to hear that Bob. I used to think that LG's were somewhat resistant to fungus but maybe not.

               Dang Bob, sorry to hear about your season. This will be my 3rd year growing lg's and I have been lucky and haven't had any prob;ems with disease or bugs. Yet

               Phytophthora will be cheap enough to correct now that Aliette is off patent.

  Left side click AGRI-FOS. Check that Cucurbit label. About $70 for a 2.5 gal jug. Agri-Fos should be in everyones irrigation tank & some foliar programs.
