I am looking for a photo of the 175 Viverette 1963 watermelon or a photo of the watermelon Stanton Viverette provided for President John F. Kennedy.

Lloyd would that melon have been a Cobb Gem or White seeded Watson? Or something else entirely?

He had his own closely guarded seedline. I would guess it was developed from selected melons of the striped Tom Watsons. I understand the watermelon President Kennedy sent Nikita Khrushchev was a Viverette watermelon. Surely that watermelon was photographed. There must be photos of Viverette watermelons somewhere.

John, look at the 1906 photo on my website. The watermelons in the wagon and those in the lower right background look much like the watermelons we first grew in 1973. It is likely that the Viverette watermelons were of this variety.
