Nice work. What are you seeing in your test plants? Also, why don't you take a vine tip and graft it? I believe that this technique could reduce pressure at the stump and thus blowouts and leaks. Worth a try?

I don't grow WM but those plants look strong and aggressive, what ever you are doing looks great to me.

Bigg Dogg doesn’t lay around on the porch, he is out digging (for information )
Healing:
1) 24 hours of total darkness in a clear plastic tote and tape the lid shut with masking tape after misting grafted plants
2) Tote sits in my living room and the temperature is approximately. 74-75 degrees
3) After 24 hours untape lid open and mist plants and close tote and reseal
4)Add LED fluorescent lighting on top of the the tote lid (18 hrs. on and 4 hrs off
5) Continue the above procedure ie: mist , seal tote and rotate lighting on the 18/4 intervals
6)On day 7 star gradually opening tote lid and keep plants lightly misted
7) Day 9 healing complete ,
8) Repotted plants and moved from 4” cups to 1 gallon pots and moved to my greenhouse and they only had electric heater for heat and no artificial lighting.
9) We had snow and low teens and upper 20’s and I only kept the temperature in the greenhouse in the 40-50 during this real cold spell

Do you cut the rootstock off the roots?

What do you plan to use for the rootstock?

What grafting method do you like better? Thanks.

1)I do not cut off rootstock roots .I cut the scion off and make the cut on the rootstock where the scion is to be grafted and install a grafting clip.
2) I am test grafting the Rampart and the @&$/? rootstock.
3) 2 cot double axe blade method .......Don’t even ask LOL Those are the 8 larger plants in the picture a and grafted onto that @&$/? rootstock I mentioned above ,Hope this was helpful.

Nathan I will resubmit the healing used for grafts. I did it from my phone and it chopped it all up and left most all of it out . I will do it again tomorrow night from my computer as I am just seeing what happened. I apologize !
