OK everyone who wants to grow a world record watermelon this year remember Chris Kent's 350 pound watermelon. List your state and when u guys want to start the Carolina cross watermelon contest. Whether your seeds are from burpees giant watermelons or any seed source. I give u guys luck.

Nearly everyone on this site takes their giant melon(s)to a GPC (great pumpkin commonwealth)sponsored contest. The contests (weigh-offs)start in September.The competitive melons at these contests are almost exclusively the Carolina Cross variety.These contests have been going on for years, so there is little need for any new contests.
