Do some pollinated melons grow slower than others?
I knew right away that pear shaped melon had set,as it was much larger the day after .
I pollinated 2 on Sunday and 2 days later I was going to cull them because I was convinced they did not take.
This morning I went to cull them and one looked larger.
Maybe just my imagination.
It was pretty big at pollination.
Do they take a couple of days to get started sometimes?
Been really hot and humid for the last 2 weeks.

the start growing right away, but the 1st day its not much since they are so small. day 2 they will start to take off.

It has taken off now.
Nice and even shape.
250 Kent x 209 Schinicker .
Pollinated another this morning,250 Kent x 220 Brinkley.
OTT on the pear shaped melon is 69 on day 8.
