The last the melons that I pollinated seem to have a pear shape. They are very small still (only about 3 to 4 inches). Is this common? If so will they out grow this? And what would cause this?

poor pollination due to heat is the most likely cause. Medium to severe pear shapes don't grow out. they keep that shape & get worse. If its real mild they will often turn out ok.

We've had a very rainy and cool summer up here so far.

Could it be due to it being too cold during pollination?
