Subject: Approx Minimum Days for ready to eat

Any of you all have knowledge on the minimum days on the vine before you can pick a Carolina cross that may be ready to eat. Got a vine failure on a Melon that is at 34 dap est 65 pounds. Vine may last only for another week at the most it looks. I know I can just cut it open when the vines toast but was curious if theres a number on minimum days in relation to weight of the melon. Thanks

60 Days ish. Need to let that one sit for 2-3 weeks to ripen after picking. It will be ripe then , but not very sweet.
