What are expected growth rates in OTT inches per day for a 2 week old melon? I have a melon that gained 8" OTT the last 2 days....just wanting to know how these numbers compare to the norm and what can I expect as the melon gets older.

Just to clarify, the melon gained 8" both days....which seems like higher than normal gains.

Checked my records and the best I've done is 14" from days 15-17 and that was last year. Most of mine had/have swings which seemed to run with the daily weather. I'm still looking for the up swings this year.

Keep it up and it could be special.

So far mine is growing good and is well on it's way for a new PB for me.

Handy, you were about 13lbs heavier on your 25day measurement than me.

The 260.5 only grew 1 lb a day in sept.so keep it healthy & with good temps you could beat that. Good Luck!
