i pollenated two females this mornining on my 255, they were the longest little female's i ever saw about as big around as a cigerrett,but 2 1/2 inches long..just wondering is that normal for the 255 or is that differnent

I have some starter females on my plants right now, and I know that if I pollinated them, they would be nothing but trouble.

Amazing enough that would be good advice to most teenage boys.

Most of us usually aim for early September for our first mature melons. There is a late August weigh-off in Arkansas. Our local meteorologists are saying this was the warmest meteorological spring ever here in Knoxville. My plants grew so fast it really threw me off guard. Next year we may have a cool or cold spring season. I think no one can accurately predict long range weather.
