please support,our silent auction folks ,,we need your support! alot of great seeds in these three lots ,,this is the only giant watermelon group in the state of ohio , and we strive every year to make it better ,,and if you`ve ever been to one of my weighoffs you`ll know ,,everybody goes home with something ,,,everybody in our local group here are alsp gwg members ,,as well , we need your support as fellow growers to keep this club going -thanks from all of us down here in ohio-rob

what about 2009 at frankfort, after I showed up with my melon, you went home and got one bigger to beat me out of first place you already had 2 there? That's a way to get people to join and support your club. The guy who drives 2 1/2 hours to get there gets screwed by the locals.

lets get ,in correct josh -if this is you ,,that wasnt the case -the two that was there,was exibition -only --and i had to set up ,,for the show ! and when i got help- then i went and got mine from the patch- with, the assistance of tony vanderpool !!and if i beleave right ,,you still got money and trohpy didnt you,,yep, thats what i though ,,I dont pay to my self my friend ,,I put everything ,,back into the club,,and i even paid down farther ,,the next year ,,witch i beleave you and your friend WON DIDNT I ,,YEP I DID,,,,I REST MY CASE

I had to have my melon there by a certain time after that time you went and got one I'm just saying if the melon isn't there by the end of registration it can't be entered. If I got there late I would be out of luck, didn't get a trophy that year just a ribbon, and the weigh off only paid three places that year. not trying to cause trouble but it put a bad taste in my mouth. Yes I won last years weigh off and my brother took 3rd. for me it's not the money it's the principal if I had time to go back home I could have brought a bigger one too. Good Luck TD if I get beat I don't care it's the way I was beat

josh i`m just not sure what to say about it-first ,it was the first year ,,things were crazy ,,2nt im not perfect! 3rd read number two and one again ,,,,and you could have been a man and ,said something to me or even ask me ,,you had my phone number unstead you wait three years to say something -come on ,,this is childish.,,and i think there`s a younjg man on hear that can tell ,you,,its not about winning for me -
i started this for you and other growers to ,have an alternative place to weigh and have fun ,,and this is the thanks i get? you know me -or i though you did ,,,im the most frendliest person out there --and try to be friends regardless of who you are ,,and for you to even have posted that ,,nonsence ,,well just goes to show you ,,cant please every one,,i wish only the best for you -good luck ,,

I never said anything about it because I didn't want bad blood with your club I'm just saying the way it went down at the time seemed shady, if you told me your melon was at home it wouldn't have been an issue. Jerry from Nelsonville told me he wouldn't be back over the whole thing, and for the last two years he hasn't been back. I come back because I'd like to see a successful weigh off with lots of melons and the way i perceived it that's not a way to get people back. I got my brother started growing so that would be one more melon there, a few of my other friends are growing for that weigh off this year. I don't have a problem with you personally just wanted to get it off my chest. Hopefully there will be a turn out like in 2010 lot's of growers there. I tell all the growers I can good luck with the auction and see you in september.
