That is a great seed,I would have done better with if I would have shaded the fruit better,& not picked it early.This seed grows a long time as does the 255 Mitchell.

Heaven help us If Superman, and Janet, get there hands on any more of these seeds!!!! I might be wrong, but thinkin Chris's 274.4 at Allardt was from a 239 Leonard seed!!! (To awl who want to know...70"+ girth)...a real Fattie... Sorry Chris, for tellin this tale!!! Peace, Wayne

It was a 239 Leonard X Sibb ;) It was my girthest melon yet. Can't wait to see what it produces.

P.S. anyone who has any 239's that need a good home, just send them to me & will take good care of em ;)

You never know Mark. The 239 is a well proven seed. Then again there is a chance the 274.4 could be an even better seed. PW, I have seeds from a 197 Leonard x 211 Leonard cross I made this year.That is a sibling recreation of the 239 Leonard. You are very welcome to seeds if you think you might want to give this one a try.

As they come around the third turn, 255, 239 and the 291 are taking the lead and bubble gum is sticking to the rail. Can not see what is bring up the rear but they are looking great !
