The alligator swamp grass really began kicking my butt around the end of June, and I had watering issues because it's so far away from the house. I plan on running a water line this winter.
#1 rotted early on, I was never able to get anything under it before vine growth went crazy.
#3 160 Knight X 267 Pleasent was by far the fastest growing melon I have ever witnessed, it got bottom rot at 40 days, I estimate the weight at 160.
#2 I picked Friday, (267 Pleasent X 160 Knight) I have been away for several weeks and it quit growing sometime during that time frame. Its finals were 197lbs 58in girth 34in lenght, it had a rotten spot on the bottom that was leaking so it could have went over 200lbs had I been here to pick it. It was a solid melon no hollow area at all, which is suprising to me, the only water these melons got was by rainfall. I will post some pictures tomorrow on my diary page
