It was July 16th that i had 2 melons on 1 plant. I decided to leave both on. Right now the one 6 feet from main is 93 cc. That one is on a secondary. the grith is 61" VERY fat melon, and 33" long. The other one is 83 cc and grith is 56". That one is 10 feet on the back main. I think most of u all told me to pull 1 and leave 1. But that was hard to do,,,lol.,I think the chart reads 211 pounds on the first melon 196 ott. The vine is still green. Sill putting on almost 3 pounds a day. This is the first time that i have grown these monsters. It has been a big ride. I just wish Dad had his right mind and knew what they were. He would say,,,,,Boy what in the world u r grow,,,,,,,,,greg

Thanks for sharing this. I also had a hard time culling in my early years and once popped two 175 pounders on the same plant.

Thanks for the pictures. You have very healthy looking vines for September and have done a great job of weed control.

While hiking the AT I hitch-hiked into Charlottesville one stormy night to take shelter and freshen up after a few weeks on the trail. Beautiful place. We hiked through Shenandoah in October with the full fall colors. That does look like a very healthy plant!
