We just had flooding hear like I can't remember in all of my almost 59 years. In about 2 hours the rain filled a bucket on my porch to nearly 4 inches. There was flooding everywhere. One house was even picked up off it's foundation and floated a little ways, they said on the local news. My backyard patch is on a hillside and I'll bet I lost a 1/2 a ton of good soil. Well I am glad this all happened before planting time. I just feel sorry for the ones with flooded homes or worse. I am just happy to be here though.

Look out Clark & Lois (Kent & Lane that is, or did you 2 finally get hitched ?), I am gunning for you (in a watermelon growing competition sense of course.:)

LOL....Well Come on!!!!! Glad you made it fine...was worring about you. Soil can be replace. Our Patch is muddy but looks like I can grow a 300# ON THIS YEAR<g>!..Hugs..

Awesome Janet, I love your attitude! One has to have faith in what they are doing & I think you guys really know you can do it. I'd feel great if I could reach about 80% or so of 300 pounds. You guys have already come so close I am sure it is just around the corner.

How true Ms Janet. I bet I lost a ton of good gardening soil from this last big storm.
