Looking at the seeds in the ongoing auctions and the seeds coming up for auction soon I am wondering what the cut off would be for getting the seeds to germinate if they have not been in a freezer. If kept at room temps how long before the seeds won't germ. I always keep mine in the freezer and have germed them when they were 3-4 yrs old but I've never tried any older. I understand that there is risk in any seed germinating. Whats the consensus. Any thoughts would help.

I think they are ok for a few years out, but drop off fast after that. 10 years = dead unless frozen. Thats what I have been told by long time growers.
