Could anyone point me to diaries that have some photos of early activities/stages for watermelons? Trying to see what good indoor started seedlings look like. The one I started looks nothing like the ones I have grown outside in the past.(It looks like those bean sprouts people eat)

Lots of good and helpful pictures in those diaries. The second seed is popping up this A.M. and it is going right outside for the day.

I see in this photo some plants that look a little leggy like mine, do they turn out O.K? How leggy is too leggy and I should cull it? This test sprout is taking several days to gradually get the cots greener. Is this normal or acceptable? Thanks

I like larger pots when growing my melons. I also like to get the light right down on top of the plant. This helps keep them from being leggy. I start them in a 4" pot and quickly transfer them when going into a 9" pot.

I didn't see your post until now, James. Things are going better with practice seedlings. Thanks.
