Hi Chris, I might have missed it, but do you have the final measurements for the 291?
Just curious! Congrats again!
I don't think in MN we will ever get one that big!

291 kent 10
239 leonard X 157 Bright
cir=104.5
EE=65.5
SS=50
OTT=220
Girth is 67.
Notes...the girth may be bigger, i need help picking up i end to get a tape under it. The 67" is the middle but it may be a little bigger. Forgot to do that at the weighoff.
The ott numbers are bigger then my last one due to the fact that its on a pallet & my last ones were in the garden on sand. I didn't think there was that much difference. It was on a slope so i was trying to keep it growing as level as possible. For consistency in measurements of growth, i didn't try to dig sand at each tapeing.

Absolutely incredible. The shape was perfect. The girth was incredible, and 40" length. Wow!

You have to love it when a plan comes together.

Great job with that string of magnificent melons.

Chris,

I updated my tracking sheet, and just for the record you have 4 of the top 10 melons that I have ever reported. This surpasses Bright who has 3 of the top 10.

This is of course just for the melons I have recorded. I don't always get statistics for everything, but I try.

Wow look at those measurements! Wish I had the time to go see that melon in person. Chris, I am surprised you don't leave tapes around/under you biggest melons to measure girth as they grow. Maybe I'll send you a few, if I can find ones big enough! Again, GREAT JOB!

I have lots of tapes. Since girth doesn't go into OTT, i don't have a need to track till the end.
