BTW - is there such thing as watermelon grower of the year? Will that and a dollar buy Cris a cup of coffee at Micky D's? Who won last year? OK - if there isn't such an honor it should be created.

There have been many growers with many 200+ grown in a year. Carson & Bright come to mind just for starters. Too early to talk about grower of the "anything", the main weigh offs are just starting !

I think this goes without saying. Chris not only grows them big, he shares with the community. Demonstrating and teaching are two big factors to keeping this growing hobby growing.

Nice pictures Dennis, I really enjoyed your visit. Craig Peden from cleveland Tn also stopped by. Thanks for the visit guys. We did a final measurement.... now 40 inches straight length, 215.5 ott for 275.7 est lbs. Lets hope that its close ! I'll be busy loading & traveling on friday....so everyone have a great weekend !
