I saw it and I admit it scared me :( I didnt have any beetles last year, my biggest pest was squash bugs. Oh how I dread the battle of the bugs! Tammy

Only a few stragglers came in today. I haven't seen this many striped cuke beetles, total, ever. I always delt with the spotted variety. Melons are 20 yards away, no beetles.

Ah one of the joys of growing in the south. Bugs and diesease love the heat and humidity. I had a swarm of beetles come in last year right after I set plants out luckily I caught them in time. Good news is they aren't as hard to kill as some of our other bugs. One of our biggest pests is squash bugs.
