I noticed that my cc melons are getting some yellowish spots on the leaves. The plants have around six - eight leaves right now. I have not done any fertilizing. I was thinking that they may have touched the lights, but some of the lower leaves are getting some also, so it could not be the lights.
Is this coloring normal ? You'll probably want a pic. to get an idea, so I will try to post one.
Any ideas ?

I will get a pic tomorrow of what I am describing, but a better description would be that the leaves look rather bumpy along with some yellow areas in the leaves.

I have the lights on them 24/7, is that too much light ?
Maybe they are too close to the lights , I try to keep them no more than 1/2 " away, usually almost touching .

It's more likely a nutrient problem I think.

OK I got some pics in my diary of my concerns.http://www.bigpumpkins.com/Diary/DiaryViewOne.asp?eid=127254. Please email or post what the problem might be. This is happening to my 2 183 Neptune plants which are ahead of my other melons. Also, the plants are in pro mix with mycor.I do not believe it has any ferts in it.

TD, I will wait to see if I get any more suggestions from the northern growers that grow under lights.
Thank you,
Lee

Probally a combination of 24 hour light, growing inside, needs more of some nutrient. I would cut the lights at 18 hours, give a little diluted dose of water solible fert.
The really look good to me, just need real sun, air, dirt !

Thank you smoky, I will give them some water soluble fert and we are expecting some warmer weather later in the week, so I will definately put them out some. I will turn the light off before I turn in for the night. I feel better all ready !
