There is now seven tons of rich black compost sitting on the uphill end of my garden just waiting for next year's watermelon growing. Up hill is important since it makes the wheelbarrow runs all the more easy.
It will sit there just beckoning to me all winter, encouraging me for the coming spring.

James, I am jealous. I am starting to believe that great organic nutrition is extremely important in growing the big one. I am hoping to save up enough money to get a big load of compost for my garden. In the meantime I will continue to make my daily run for coffee grounds from the local Starbucks. Christy Harp mentioned coffe grounds and manure, when she was asked on national TV, how she managed to grow a world record sized pumpkin.
