I did grow the 217 Vaughn 08 (45") and it grew a 146.5 lber for me 1st place at Austin, MN weighoff :-) I think I forgot to post to MMM! It was long for the watermelon I grow and for just 146.5 lbs...I think 33" L. I'll have to scan in a picture...I did send one to Jerry Vaughn (via snail mail as I don't think he has email). If interested...send dbhaskaran@aol.com an email.

Hey Dave, any chance of getting a few seed off that 146.5 from you? I mean if the seed had a chance to mature.

4 Sure! I don't have a lot of this seed...I open pollinated it...which means I crossed it with my 231 Mitchell but didn't cover it after...as I'm only focused on my pumpkin genetics ;-). If you still want some, send me a SASBE....let me know and I'll send you some, or if you send me seeds...I'll do the return the postage. David Bhaskaran 5448 Highland Ridge Ln SE Rochester, MN 55904.
