What shape are your melons this year? I have one that is about 163 pounds that is really fat looking but kind of flat on top. My other big melon goes about 170 pounds right now and is very long ( 35" )and cylinderical in shape. I think I prefer to grow the ones that aren't flat on top. If yours aren't the flat type I hope you will help me with some seeds when the time comes.

Sorry Holloway, I just read in your last post that you have a flat melon. I should have read that before posting this new message.Well I hopes it hangs in there and gets a good weight for you.

They are more girthy than last year. The 255 mitchell is about 34 or 35 long (hard to measure were its at) and a little over 50 girth measuring 170 lbs day 44. 197 mudd is 33long by 51 girth but is older. the 197 has a hi arch in it. I have another 255 that has a hi-arch can't get to it to measure though because of vines. The 255's have out grown everything in my patch. I think with good conditions they would have reaally grown good. They definately have the biggest plant size I have grown. And your welcome to any seeds you would like. We might work up a trade.
