So I have been making what i call poop soup out of steer manuer and water. I have been letting it sit for a day of 2 before feeding my patch. Is this a good idea?

I do the same thing, but I use rabbit manure and let it set quite a bit longer to get it worked up. People really get into the topic of manure teas, and they spend lots of money to buy/build/outfit the various contraptions to make it. In general, aeration is a good idea if you can do it. Time helps, and maybe some inoculate. I could be better at this whole concept.
