One medium sized A.G. pumpkin (estimated weight) 400#'s, cut into small pieces. (I use a Sawsall. A chaisaw is too messy). Steam or bake till tender. In a horse trough stir together, using a clean shovel or boat oar, the prepared pumpkin, 150 cups firmly packed brown sugar, 200 tsp salt, 200-250 tsp cinnamon, 150-200 tsp ginger, 50-100 ground cloves, 50-100 tsp freshly grated nutmeg. Blend, in a fifty-five gallon drum using a trolling motor, 600 fresh eggs and 200 cans evaporated (not condensed) milk. Add to pumpkin and spices and mix well. You will need 200 unbaked pie shells using 300 cups (approx 80 pounds) of flour, 100 tsp salt, 150 cups shortening and 200 Tbs cold water. Have edges crimped high because the filling is generous. Bake in hot ovens (400 F) for fifty minutes. Cool and top with 16 containers of Cool Whip or 1 1/2 gallons of cream whipped using a clean outboard motor. Happy Thanksgiving to you all. Kathy V.
