Hello,this was my first year to go a big pumpkin.My largest was 713#.I am looking for seed from a large orange pumpkin that grows round.I have seed from my pumpkin if anyone is interested in trading,if not I am looking to buy seed.I am on the Oregon Coast (the fog belt).

What are the genetics of your 713#, where did you weigh it at?? Or is the 713# an ott??? Nice for a first year!

The pumpkin that I got my seeds from was a 931#.It is a cross between a 1026 holland and a 845 bobier.Weighed on a certified scale right here in Reedsport,Or.

Look for an 869.5 Calai, orange and round. I crossed it with a 1121 Ford. I have seeds, don't know what the 1121 cross will do to it?

It should be mentioned to newer growers that seeds from smaller fruits theoretically have the same potential as seeds from the 1000/+lbs pumpkins. The only thing that counts is the cross!

All were an awesome orange color and should even improve with the crosses I made. The only one that was not as deeply orange was the fruit on the 1016 Daletas as the vine rotted off and the pumpkin wasn't able to mature and orange up.
