how late in the year have people gone, from when they picked there pumpkin, to drying the seeds. have people gone into the next year? if the pumpkin is still solid, will it hurt to wait for a few more weeks or months?

Won't hurt 'em. Mine are still on the front porch too. I keep 'em late each year. I've kept some 'till April. I'm sure others can keep 'em even longer without future germination problems. BF
