later this winter with the help of ken and john the southern new england giant pumpkin growers ( formerly the rhode island pumpkin growers association )hope to hold a seed auction to benefit our awards program

That seems accurate, I took down notes for the auction too. Does Howard Dill always through in extra seeds for an auction like he did last night? And wasn't it a surprise when he said, lets throw in an 845 Bobier with this one, I don't think anyone was expecting that!

Personally, I don't like the toss in after the start seed thing....not fair to the bidders as it changes the package. One might be at the winning point when an extra seed is thrown in and it fancies someone else's tastes more. I know...."its for the club"...etc etc....but it is about the grower really.....G
