Joe Alits PB is 1056 not 1016 ? Tom Beachy PB is 1097.5 not 963 ? Greg Stucker PB is 1105 (also has a 963 )not 855.5 ?
and those are just the ones that I know off the top of my head... are there any others ?
If you want to push AGRO-K ... that's fine with me...and if you want to use AGRO-K ... that's fine with me... I'm sure it's just data errors... but in my opinion it looks badly and reflects poorly back on the product (like your trying to inflate your numbers) when you get the data wrong.

g1t, as much as I appreciate the corrections, there is a much more tactful way of bringing it to my attention, I did not try to inflate numbers, so that is an accusation the is unfounded and to be honest, wouldn't inflating numbers mean that I posted larger numbers, not smaller? Also, these are the 2004 stats as we posted, I believe that Tom Beachys 1097 was in 2003, maybe he grew another, I could be wrong. Maybe we all need to get our data straight before we post.... This could have been done via email.

Easy folks. The election's over. No matter a weight is off here or there. Agro-K & Craig have done a good job of bundling an effective program together. I think these are impressive figures even if Tom Beachy did blow up all his fruit. I blew up 2/3 of everything we grew here this year & I sure can't blame Agro-K for doing it.

I posted this because like most peole here Craig wanted to share with everyone the stats, he has recieved tons of email regarding which growers used the program and how they did. Tom, I'm surprised that you don't know that Craig didn't list fruit that didn't make it to weigh offs due to splits so he could avoid this kind of non sense. This kind of reaction will only help to keep an outstanding grower from giving advice or helping out. Everybody who has met Craig knows that he is always willing to help out and give tips.

Sorry I wasn't as tactful and some of you would have liked me to me. The post was made and it has errors! Should I bring it to everyone’s attention now by posting or emailing Tom on the side later this evening? I made the choice I thought was best sorry if I offended any one.
I didn't say you inflated the number ... I said "I'm sure it's just data errors..." I did say ... or tried to say ... in my opinion it could be said by some that your post I would see inflating as- listing Personal Bests that were grown on AGRO-K. Implying see how great this product is ... it grew all of these personal bests - when in fact they were not personal bests - the real personal bests probably were grown with AGRO-K and were not grown this year ? Personal Best is not a yearly term ... never has been. If you said something like - largest fruit grown this year .. Then that is one thing but to say PB that is another. I'm not the one who posted incorrect data and I'm not the one trying to push the AGRO-K on fellow growers and I'm not the one claiming or implying that AGRO-K will help others grow larger pumpkins. If I was ... I think I would have double checked my data before making such a post.
Like I said before ... if you want to use it fine by me. But I, just me, just my personal opinion, think that all these posts pushing AGRO-K are right on the line or are just over the line when it comes to passing out useful information versus free advertising a web site. Is that what we what on this site ? I think BP is and should remain a grower’s site and not an advertising site. but my opinion doesn't matter because I don't own or manage the site - but I think we ALL do and can have input as to what should acceptable and what shouldn't.

Pumpkin Fam ... give me a break. I've been on this list for years... and I've said more than my share of stupid and tactless stuff... but the above post is not one of them... ever heard of the pot calling the kettle black ? if anyone’s post is not tactful it's yours.

who is this git, glit, clit, whatever his name is?
no one cares if a person has made an honest mistake posting a notice or question boy id love this guy on my team as far as agro-k and craig getting free press regarding agro-k, let me say who cares again if craig gets a couple plugs because someone published results of a program he has worked hard to build up, so what

It's Gordon Tanner, he's been around long enough to have the right to express his opinion without being called "clit", and I agree with him that it *is* a fine line between free info and free advertising. Agro-K may, or may not, be the next best thing since sliced bread, that's not Gordon's point. We all have a right to an opinion, so long as it's not malicious (and his wasn't) so ease up Mr. Wallace...you've had your moments too, we all have.

Yo g1t...Hey Gordon as one who has enjoyed many of your posts and still can't figure out "cation exchange" I understand your post here as not one of malicious intent but clarification ...Nobody new may see your intention and Craig did!..We all try to understand and respect the Goal of this website and I also respect what Agro-K has done for so many growers...but accuracy in reporting such achievements is a plus...Now how do I get in touch with Craig!!! Congratulations Craig - You truely helped some growers reach higher weights!
Ya'll know you have plenty of choices when it comes to growing pumpkins. Craig has a pretty good plan going with Agro-K & he is willing to share his info.
Bottom line it's up to you to make your own fertilization decisions.

Well, sorry for my outburst but the word "c_it", and Paps "get a life" post, was offensive. A grown man should be ashamed to use that word in this forum. Agro-K is a good program, it has merit.

OH MY GOSH! We fight about everything on here.
Gordon, a little poorly worded, oops we all know you didnt mean to be a jerk.
Tom, oops, you put some errors up, and we know you didnt mean to do that
Craig, one hell of a product, thanks for your help throughout our entire season since I always wanted to deviate from the program...LOL
As for the advertising, I see gordon's concern. Being a business major I can assure you guys that as few of programs that Craig sells he aint getting rich on the "pumpkin programs". Agro K is his business, and full time job. Basically what I see from talking to Craig, and observation, him and his program are a launch site for larger commercial accounts. He has been growing these things for longer than I have been alive, or dang near. His interest in the Pumpkin Program goes much deeper than making money. Take that into consideration when worrying about that stuff.
One big misunderstanding Gordon is a great guy, and so is Craig.
Gordon seemed to get jumped pretty good over this one, so I'm gonna tell everyone something about him.
Several years ago he donated not 1, but 2-723 Bobier seeds to the Pumpkinnook Charity Auction. That takes some balls people....

Hey beachy, just cuz you are a business major doesnt mean you are qualifed to evaluate everyone and everything on this board. How bout you close your yapper before i march down to Indy and take a big dump in your patch?? Huh?
Sheesh. unbelievable.
Anywho, Im impressed with what Agro-K did in my patch this year. I had July leaves in September, and that made me pretty darn happy. May as well leave that PB after the 1016 cuz that fruit was physically the largest thing ive ever grown, and given a more reasonable weather pattern, would have been significantly larger. 3 cheers for Agro-K and Mr. Lembke

I asked Craig about AGRO-K in Europe a few weeks ago but didn´t get a response. Maybe my email account didn´t work though I´m still interested if it´s available in Canada/US only. Do you think it´s comparable to this: http://www.biobizz.com Organic fertilizer company from the Netherlands now selling in North America as well.

I grew my 1170 using the Agro-K program and will continue also next year. One piece of equipment I will invest thou next year using Craig's program is a mist-blower. If your going to feed your plants regularly, I think a mist-blower is a must.

Gee, im real sorry i missed THIS thread yesterday......i just want to say one thing, some of you have been VERY disrespectful. Gordon and i have been friends for a long time, he was one of the first people i interracted with when i started growing giants. We've exchanged ideas, techniques, and seeds. In addition to all of that he happens to be a state record holder, and deserves WAY more respect then some of you have given him. Im very dissappointed in how this turned out. The tactics that some people have resorted to, people that i have great respect for, were extremely dissapointing.
Ive also seen private emails sent to him as a result of this thread, which further dissapointed me, especially by individuals who are supposedly "helping" out others trying to grow giant pumpkins. Personally if i was Gordon, and i received these emails, i would post it on this site for everyone to see, then let people judge as they may. I think most of you would be VERY surprised. However, Gordon doesnt enjoy mud slinging apparantly as much as others do. But i assure you, he wont be shy to take you on if need be.
Not everyone says/posts things the way everyone else would like. I think at the root of it all, he was just trying to help out. period. Would you guys jump on anyone else like this? what if some other state record holder pointed out an error in a message, would you ride him/her like you've ridden Gordon? I doubt it.
By April/May, we'll have long forgotten about this thread. Now for crying out loud, get out there and load up some manure!!
