GA is gibberillic acid a plant growth hormone. there are several types which are reffered to by #'s 3 being the most effective of all

Gibberellic acid is a naturally ocurring plant hormone. When synthesized, we can use it to cause desired plant responses. We would see it's use to help older seeds germinate better. Though we can also illicate better growth in cool weather, too much poorly timed can cause all-maleness.
Used properly, it's just another tool.
