If you do not know what you are doing, even the best seed in the world will not get much over 600 lbs. And that would happen only if you followed everything in the "pumpkin bible".

Like many other areas of life, the "herd mentality" seems to rule in the pumpkin world. Since I have had "big name" seeds not do much in my patch and I have observed similar results in other patches, I find it more challenging to have the majority of the seeds in my patch from "unproven" stock. Just something to think about.

I'm with Tom, the 664 Liggett. It's a seed from my area, I'm going to try to get some help from the grower & it grew a 1353 lber in a little over 300 sq ft. Can't beat that..............Paul
