My biggest pumpkin "Jake" Has now developed a split in the vine. It is about 2 inches long . I have put captan on the other split and he kept growing. Will it keep growing or am I finished with this pumpkin for the year. He is 173 pounds by the measurments and the chart. My goal was a 200 pounder for my first try . Think I could baby it along 30 more pounds?

Does the split go all the way into the center of the vine? I think it will keep growing, just slower. Keep the Captan on it and hope for the best.
