And, the BBC reports that the world record was set in the United States! BBC is always screwing up the important stories, from the Middle East to pumpkins.

It is a sad fact that the UK press cannot get facts right, they just report what they have been told by the person in question and then they add a bit. I used to correct them but i gave up when they kept on screwing up even after been presented with the facts. You Guys in the USA and Canada are lucky, at least you get plenty of media coverage of Giant Pumpkins. Just my 2 pence worth LOL

Anyone said it´s the biggest in Britain? The only wrote that the Kid believe it. And believing is free, is´nt it?

The guys from the news said only "Oh what a monster" and than they probably write a sensation without fakts.
Here in a Town nearby a farmer told the newspaper that he grew the biggest pumpkin this year in Schleswig-Holstein. He said it was 429 lbs. Also he said the circumference is 102 inch. The Pumpkin was still in the patch, no weightin yet.
As we all know 102 inch = est. 279 lbs but never 429 lbs.
Only the scale will tell the truth.

Same here.. They will write about me, but In short tekst (about one A4 page) there were 8 mistakes. They wrote much more than I told them, and of course not everything I told them... But at least I ma happy of being in press...
