I've been toying with the idea for a while and am surprised nobody has done it yet, but check out my Grower stats on my web page - it has the top 50 growers listed, taking into consideration the heaviest fruit grown on an annual basis. There are really no surprises on the list. The final score is a weighted average, with fruit grown in 2004 receiving a slightly higher "weight" than fruits grown in 2003, etc.
Any input or assistance with the list would be helpful. I have a total of 100 growers on the master list, but I'm missing some data for some years (maybe the grower didn't grow anything that year, etc)...

Nice work! There is a list on AGGC under the "Other" tab, but it hasn't been updated for 2004 data yet.

Looks like the Pacific North West and Canada are owning the top! I take it the bold numbers are world records. I also noticed there is no 9th place? :)

I hate the number 9. Thanks for noticing, I've corrected the problem, and yes, the bolded numbers were world records at the time. Thanks for everyone's input so far.

Why do you count two different people as the same? Paul and Steve Handy for example, or Dave and Tom Beachy? And uh, Brett hasn't been married to Lisa in a few years...

Ouch. Maybe I'll adjust that one then.
