can i grow pumpkins in ireland? and can i just take seeds out of a pumpkin you buy in a shop i dont mind if they are not giants just regular pumpkins.can i grow them in large pots in a glasshouse cause its too cold outside in ireland i think !!!! will they grow in cold weather??? can some one help

They won't grow well in cold weather. I've heard of people growing miniature pumpkins in a large pot. And the gentleman that did the "clones" kept his plant alive in his basement all winter by taking many rooted cuttings.

maybe not in a pot, but in the soil in a greenhouse. Just keep the temp. above 32 degrees. Tom

Big Pumps, an Atlantic Giant will grow anywhere as long as it dosen't freeze. I have some great seeds for giants I would be happy to send you. E-mail me privatly and I will give you the address.

Yo Bigpumps, I know that somebody has grown a 500lber in Ireland...couple of years back...we had a England-Ireland competition...we won but a few biggies were grown over there.
