This may not be funny to some of you, but to me, I kinda got a chuckle. I grow tons of plants and have many fruit, so it wasnt a big deal.
I was taking a friend a pumpkin, that was only 195 lbs. It was in the barn and I didnt have anyone to help, so I used out hoist system, and lifted it up on to the back of our pickup truck. Well, I was only taking the pumpkin about 3 miles, so I didnt bother to put the tailgate up. Well, you can probably guess what happened! I was driving down the road, and turned the corner a little quick. The pumpkin and tarp flew right out the back, and like 5 people were on the front yard where it fell out, needless to say, they were all laughing. So to conclude my little escapade, I went back to the house with only my tarp, and got my friend a 240 pounder!

I think it's great that you can laugh at yourself and find the light side of your misfortune. I hope the pumpkin didn't get rolling downhill, who knows where it would have stopped.

Tomman... Did you get any seeds from the squashed gourd? You may be able to sell them on "Ho-Bay" as a novelty! Sorry I know that was as a cheap shot, but I couldn't resist. I once hoisted a 170 pounder up on my roof and dropped it on my drive way just because it was a stem splitter, I was quietly pleased by that, and consequently slept like a baby all winter. P.S. I did'nt save any of those seeds.........

Sound like a magic trick to me. A pumpkin turns into a squash at 35 mph. Tom
