If you were lucky enough to grow a new personal best this year, congratulations. Now let's get a list going of what you grew and the cross, so you can be recognized for your accomplishment. This will also help in our seed search for this winter. My new pb, 906 Glisczinski (1097 Beachy x 986 Checkon). Weighed about 12 lbs lighter that the estimate.

My new PB: 886 Sison '04 -(1101 VanKooten X 961 Daletas) From back up to new PB the 1101 definately has the volume characteristics of it's parents.
Good thread Randy thanks for posting it.
Dale's 1028 was good lookin'. A nice light orange & good round shape.
Jerri - your 788 was a classic looking 846 Calai offspring. The Back Cross only strengthens those Calai genes. This should be a VERY good seed.
G - gotta love that 935 Lloyd pollinator!
Great job to all! Congrats & keep up the good work.

New PB for me in Altoona too at 803 lbs. It was grown on the 805 PUkos and pollinated with the 961 Daletas. Rocky and I were having a friendly challenge as ours had similiar measurements. We had a good laugh when they both measured at 803. Now if I could have found my way over to the milk chugging table I would have given him a run at his title.... next year!

I believe I would have gave Quinn a run for his money at the OVGPG weigh-off, but I noticed a split 5 days before the weigh-off. We got it up that night and got it weighed at 1,170. I believe I lost a lot through the split. It was under the fruit and couldn't see it until I seen the trail of death flowing underneath. It was an awesome plant and fruit while it lasted.

My old pb was 778, in addition to the 906 listed at the beginning of this thread, I had three more in the patch that beat that old mark.
855 Glisczinski '04 (527 Glisczinski x 1097 Beachy) 820 Glisczinski '04 (1016 Daletas selfed) 810 Glisczinski '04 (986 Checkon x 1097 Beachy)
It was not the best growing season here, but I guess the Good Lord sent enough luck my way to have a very good pumpkin season. Congratulations to everyone. Now get those patches ready for next year.

My PB this year was a 468 on the 1005 Mombert. This 1005 Mombert, what a plant! But I was a little imbalanced this year. (People always tell me that...) I had a huge load of manure delivered in the spring. I had incredible plant growth all year, in fact, the plants are still growing even though the stumps have been gone for weeks! But that came at a sacrifice of fruit growth. I had many aborts, and generally slow fruit growth all season. -Cliff

personal best 3 times over in my 3rd year growing on all three plants that i grew in my backyard.
1. 885 lbs (1301.5 eaton x 695 handy) 161 circ. estimated weight only. dill ring split. great plant and i am glad i used it as a male pollinater. big vined, big leafed, powdery mildew resistence was great compared to my other plants. nice orange color. wall thickness 7" across the top and 9" at bottom.
2. 764 lbs (695 handy x 1301.5 eaton) estimated weight only. blossum end split on day 44. cut open due to visable rot on day 55. very tall and round with 7.5" thick walls across the top and 10" at the bottom. great plant and the 44 day estimate weight was 630 lbs and was putting on a consistent 30 pounds per day for 8 days prior to splitting. the pumpkin started slow and was only 20" circ on day 10 but it went silly after day 20. creme colored changing to light yellow.
3. 505 lbs (1082 curry x 1301.5 eaton) grown on a secondary after losing my main vine prior to fruit set. got my hopes high with this seed since the 1082 curry produced an 1150 something this year. the seed is loaded with great genetics including the 805 pukos, the 756 ford, the 723 bobier, and the 846 calai. pinkish orange in color.
besides the splits, i had good year growing with each plant grown producing a new pb beating last years 487.5 lbs.
