My personal best last year was 372 pounds. I am thrilled to be able to say that I added over 500 pounds to that personal best with my 873.5 which was weighed yesterday at Elk Grove. The difference between this year and past years...I had a clue about what I was doing instead of blindly fumbling around to grow yet another little pumpkin. And how did I learn what to do????? Bigpumpkins.com or course! Thanks to everyone here for help with seeds, genetics research, advice, encouragement, putting up with some questions I probably shouldn't have had to ask, and most of all for helping me have a whole lot of fun while growing a big one!

Congrats on a great season and new PB. I also had a new PB this year of 658 lbs. up 481 lbs from last year. It was also due to the generous advice from the people on this site. Thanks everyone and a big thanks to John and Ken for creating this site.
