Well, my first season is over. I grew but one plant and produced a pretty big pumpkin, in my eyes anyway. Just took it off of the 712.5 Wells plants given to me from Mr. Bob Wells. I just hope the seed matured. It was taken off todat, Sept. 29, on day 34, due to Powdery Mildew. Will the seeds be mature? We will most likley take the seeds out tonight. Thanks go out to all who helped me get through my first season, even if the pumpkin was grown in fill dirt. There were so many who helped me I can not even name them all, but especially Mr. Wells for proviving me with the seed to grow my first giant.
Thanks go out to all, Jake Byrd
Oh, can't for get Ken D. and John D. for making this website.

Congratulatiosn Jake. any pumpkin is a good pumpkin in my book.
[(63/58)-1]x100= 8.62% heavy
if you are lucky there might be a few good seeds but typically it takes 40 days minimum to get viable seeds.

You might have viable seeds. My 120 fredricks was only 34 days when cut off and I had over 200 viable healthy looking seeds. Even though your pumpkin was 63lbs, the genetics should be passed on and the seeds should be fine for a biggy:) Good job my friend, any pumpkin is a great accomplishment:) Jimmy
