I guess I'm confused. I thought you already had a page up and running for at least the past 6 years. I really enjoy following the different states and comparing with my "neighbors". ????

There seems to be no limit to the attempts made over the years to maintain State & US record pages.

But folks seem to loose interest with maintaining them.

I'd love to see a current record page that stayed current.

Duncan : It's a good idea & Jim Gatewood has already done it
with offical pumpkins. If you start one of other than offical weighed ones; you are insulting the growers that played by the rules & found that fine line between sucess & bust. Let's not forget that the most important part of this game to have fun but win our local area weigh off or get a personal best. Not trying to put anyone down BUT anyone can go for the ride, grow big - heavy - but not make it to end. It's like the big fish that got away, hard to mount but makes for a lot of talk. Is this the way we want new growers to think ??? of our sport. Close only counts in horse shoes. Give credit to where credit is due. The ones that are lucky enought to make it. The others have a place in our sport, they worked just as hard, but didn't have the luck this year & join the majority of pumpkin wishers looking forward to next season. Just my two cent's worth.

Just to set the record straight, I'm in the majority of pumpkin wishers but do not want my goal of sucess sometime in the future taken away by reducing the required standards of the game as it is now LOL
