Mill Creek West by god Virginia

hi all i gotta question?i have two pumpkins left growing now that are both close to 350 lbs they are both still growing pretty good about 12 to 14 lbs a day anyway here is my question they were pollinated on july 30 and neither has started to show any sign of ribbing i mean they are both still smooth no ribs is this usual considering there age and the time of year it is almost october, one is a 569wright and the other is a beachy cross number 7,this is a sibling on the beachy my biggest busted due to weather rain.thanks ahead of time burrhead

It sounds like they're not done yet. Bad if you have a weigh-off soon. Good if you're growing for yourself & the first frost is still a ways off.

SOme of them just stay smooth, too. Look at the 1385 Daletas. It has very little ribbing. The 659 Troy 03 also had very little ribbing and was very smooth. I think they look better when they are smooth.
