Next Sunday is the Elmira Weigh off, a very small but nice weigh off enjoyed by many of the heavy hitters of our hobby. Pumpkins will be accepted starting at 11:00 at Bradley Farms in Elmira, Weigh off begins at 1:00. Trophies and small prize monies are distributed to top 3 fruits.

Last year saw Alan Nesbitt stretch his 2 year reign as champion to 3 with an awesome 1029 pounder, and Bill Bobier finish second with a 996 pounder. Bill didnt grow this year, and Alan's biggest and best went down to a split, so the contest is wide open! I am looking to regain my last win in Elmira that was the year 2000, but Len Knauss, Andy Wolf, Jeff Reinrart, Kevin Brown, Matt Teeter, Joe Pukos and others are going to try and do me in! Best of luck to all, and hope to see Ned, DocGipe, and others there!
