ha ha... let's just say that I hope my parents are taking good care of them while I'm at college! I measured when I was home last Friday, and I won't be home again till next Monday when Alun is coming through my area. So I'll see how they're doing then.

Brigitte...Alun Jones and his friend Garth were at my patch yesterday. We went to the Puyallup Fair and "sweated" through the tough competition. Both of the lads are from Liverpool and have a quite a unique accent. Frankly, combined with my poor hearing, I could barely understand them!!! They are alot of fun! They went to Shellie and Rock's last night are were planning to be in Grants Pass, OR to visit another fellow BP poster, Carrie.

You know, California is now the top producer of cheese in the country. Therefore, Californians can now be called the "cheesehead" state.
Imagine 50,000+ fans filling the Oakland Colliseum, all of them wearing cheesehead hats...
LOL!

No one from California would dare be seen with a triangular block of cheddar on there head unless they originate from Wisconsin. California may be the the "Top" producer doesn't mean they are the best.

I'll be there. I can't say what I think it will weigh. That would spoil the fun. I just hope the Good Lord keeps my best one in good shape for the weighoff.

I bet you're right! :-) You might be right about the cheese quality, too. I wouldn't know because I've never tasted WI cheese.

Stan,
Alun and his son showed up here at 9:00 last night. They stayed over night in town and I will see them again this morning. Yeah I have to agree with you, the accent is hard to understand, even though he keeps telling me I'm the one who is hard to understand.

I will be there....i think i might be able to get close to what i had last year with a litte help in the over the charts dept.
THere are going to be bigger fruit at nekoosa than i originally thought possible with the weather we had this year in WI. Just think if we had a perfect year? it would put WI on the map for Pumpkins.
