Does the heat from dehydrators hurt seeds?

You need to use one with a thermostatic control. I have a American Harvest Gardener I am able to control heat from 70-140 degrees.

if you can monitor the temperature, preferably with a digital thermometer that has a "bulb" on the end of a long, flexible wire, you can keep the temp. at like 90-95 degrees, and in 4 days total, your seeds are dried! no chance for mildew, they keep clean now and no chance of rodents or dry-or-not-doubts! eric
