Alot of you growers probably thought I was down and out...
Well not quite, the damage to the house was quite severe about $45,000.00 and we took another hit 6 days later. More hail and bad winds. We are about a week away from complete re-construction, after two months of it.
The plants and patch was some what dropped by the waste side and the patch became over grown and weed infested. Played with the new computer and did ya's up a little movie to show ya what I'll probably end up taking to the weigh-offs after this crazy season. Yes I'll still make the trip, We can use a break from the house for a weekend seeing as we didn't take a vacation this year.
Can't wait for 2005 to get here.

Hi Ernie!
Nice job on the video and especially on the pumpkin!!!
This shows what those plants can handle...
Some leaves show terrible hail damage and had to go through all that wet weather. And wow, only 218 sq.ft. of plant to support such a huge pumpkin! And doesn't it feel wonderful to have your largest pumpkin on your own 727 seed? Is your 845 Bobier still alive and how is it doing?
Best wishes and GOOD LUCK!
Martin

Way to go Ernie. Thanks for the pictures. 4 hrs to download your movie was way too long. I'm really glad for you, you had a tough, tough spring and summer. Can't wait to see the Beast in person. Wish Don's wouldn't have split, they could have been twins. See you in Smokie Lake Eddy
