I think it depends on how much green is in it. It might be considered a squash. The experts can give you more information.

first year here. i didn't know this was a regular discussion. i guess the best thing is to call and ask the fair chairman. it's mostly white, kinda of cream color with green splashes. hope it can go! its jumping up and down.

You posted in the right place. But it's the time of year the boards get a little quiet. Everone getting ready & all.
It won't matter if your fruit is white, cream or orange. If it's less than 25% green, it will (should) be ruled a pumpkin. If it's more than 25% green, it will (should) be ruled a Squash.
No matter. If it's sound, it will be weighed in either way.
Good luck either way!

yo keep the pumpkin uncovered in the sun and it will stand a good chance to color up some will never be pretty or orange for that matter but, if you are afraid it will go to green then you can wipe the pumpkin down with a rag and some vegatable oil and within a day the color should start to turn a lot more orange just a good wipe ( once ) will surprise you

If it shows some green and you wipe it with oil it will get all green! Remember that!

If there's any question whether its turning green or not don't use oil....it will only make it more green.....

I think olive oil is better than ordinary vegetable oil. I used olive oil last year and it made my pumpkin turn from orange to red :-)
