My 870 was out of 1367.5 X 1370 was a little over 100 lbs heavy.I also had a 1035 out 1260 and a 966 out of 709 there to get a official weight both had blossom end splits.Been a tough year for splits.Split my 845 Bobbier too just doing like Dan Carlson and letting her grow as much as she will proably around 390 inches now.Jerry

Sounds to me like the 1260 has developed a reputation for splitting, ala Emmons 922.5!!!!!

Stan, Tom,
Are you referring to this pumpkin?
http://www.bigpumpkins.com/Diary/DiaryViewOne.asp?eid=27076
If this one was off the 1260 then it was pretty light colored for 1260 standards...
Except for Steve Davies' all 1260's I've heard of this year did split, correct?

Yep...that's my pumpkin. It was not grown on the 1260. It was grown on a totally unknown seed! Biss 763-03 This is the first offspring of the CO2 enhanced pumpkin!

Sorry to hear that one split on you Stan.
Must have been growing too fast & couldn't keep up.
Did that happen after the rains?

It was pollinated July 5th with my 757....Hey, what can I say?...it had to be as big as an airplane! ;>) It was my grandson's, Scotty's plant. He helped dig the pit, put the plant in the ground, weeded whenever he came to Grandpa's.
